I am not including more measuring unit conversion in 2nd grade because first of all, in 2nd grade the emphasis of the curriculum should be to familiarize children with the act of measuring and choosing the appropriate measuring unit; and secondly because most of the unit conversions require a good working knowledge of the multiplication tables.
