Comparing / Ordering Fractions Worksheets

With this worksheet generator, you can make worksheets for comparing two fractions or ordering 3-8 fractions. The worksheet can include problems where you compare fractions with the same denominator, or fractions with the same numerator, or you compare a fraction to 1/2, or to 1, and so on. You can also include images for the student to color in (fraction pies), or to see, which will make comparing easy.

For problems where finding a common denominator is needful, choose "random fractions".

Comparing / Ordering Fractions Worksheet Generator

Compare two fractions OR Order 3 4 5 6 7 8 fractions in order from smallest to greatest       (some of the options below may not apply, such as images) Columns:   Rows: (These determine the number of problems) Numerator Min/Max: Min: Max: (for comparing with images, the maximum is 12) Denominator Min/Max: Min: Max: (for comparing with images, the maximum is 12) Number of empty lines below the problem (workspace) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 Allow mixed numbers, in which case choose the   maximum for the whole number part: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Allow improper fractions (such as 7/6 or 10/4) Choose the types of problems generated for the worksheet. Choose AT LEAST one type. Random fractions Fractions with the same numerator (such as 2/5 and 2/7) Fractions with the same denominator (such as 3/10 and 9/10) One of the fractions is 1/2 (such as compare 3/8 and 1/2, or order 3/4, 1/2, and 6/7) One of the fractions is 1 or its equivalent fraction       (such as compare 3/4 and 5/5, or order 3/8, 9/4, and 6/6) The options below only apply for comparing two fractions (not for ordering): Include images (denominators are limited, up to 12) Include empty pie images for the student to color (denominators are limited, up to 12). Easy comparisons         (such as comparing 1/4 and 9/10, or 6/5 and 1/3 where the difference between the two fractions is > 1/2)
