An interactive online environment where you can draw using virtual compass, ruler, and protractor in a coordinate grid. Robocompass uses a total of 22 drawing commands, such as draw a point, draw a perpendicular line, find an angle, reflect an object, and so on.
Here is a non-intimidating way to prepare students for formal geometry. Key to Geometry workbooks introduce students to a wide range of geometric discoveries as they do step-by-step constructions. Using only a pencil, compass, and straightedge, students begin by drawing lines, bisecting angles, and reproducing segments. Later they do sophisticated constructions involving over a dozen steps-and are prompted to form their own generalizations. When they finish, students will have been introduced to 134 geometric terms and will be ready to tackle formal proofs.
GRACE - Graphical Ruler and Compass Editor
An interactive online tool that allows dynamic creation and modification of ruler and compass constructions. Constructions may be built from one of five geometric primitives (Line, Line Segment, Ray, Circle, Perpendicular Bisector, and Intersection), and from other constructions; thus constructions may be built by composing more basic constructions.
